In the meantime I think I will go down the reference route for now.

Thanks very much for replying

MarilynMarilyn Abdullahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04143593795220295420noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5666457738678091444.post-66540384995612682712013-05-28T12:19:29.354+01:002013-05-28T12:19:29.354+01:00Hi

Can you add more than one reference, as I also record a patch which overlaps the 1ksq?

Cheers
MarilynMarilyn Abdullahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04143593795220295420noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5666457738678091444.post-12455676485728150912013-05-27T21:39:50.936+01:002013-05-27T21:39:50.936+01:00Hello Marilyn,

I can just about get what I want out of it with a bit of effort, though I do find it very easy in terms of general use for entering records.

Have a look at the SQL code I posted a while ago:
http://1000for1ksq.blogspot.co.uk/2013/01/sp5595ish-05012013.html

In MapMate, if you click on Analysis from the main toolbar, then from the menu double-click User Queries and then double-click . Give it a suitable name like 'Classified Species List for <10k square> in ' and then paste in the code from the above post and save the query. When you run it you should then get a list of all your species, however as I mention in the post I can't get this to work at 1km level so it will only be good for you if you are not entering records from sites outside of your 1km square in the same 10km square.

If there are other MapMate users on here doing something more useful I'm sure we'd all benefit ...Skevhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05601888498478097564noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5666457738678091444.post-88921241690210769722013-05-27T20:46:27.695+01:002013-05-27T20:46:27.695+01:00One thing you can do is use the reference field. To then get all your records you put the relevant reference in and then either click on Query, Records for all valid fields or click on the word Reference then Show all related then RecordsGilbert White's Ghosthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06471810181486871935noreply@blogger.com
