By the way, I've just totted up my all-years (mostly 2013 onwards) 1-ksq list for TM2499 and it's now on 2,005 species. 3K may be somewhat beyond me (would rather move house first I think!) but we'll see.Andy Musgrovehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04912808603547350572noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5666457738678091444.post-85851897125771476252017-12-31T17:58:12.823+00:002017-12-31T17:58:12.823+00:00Well done Pete. Great work already. Nearly a quarter of everything I saw in my square was a lifer for me, I'm anticipating a similar scene for 2018 too. You're absolutely right, this Challenge really does make you look harder at what's around you. I can't envision a single square kilometre in all of Britain which doesn't harbour at least three hundred species, so everybody who's been following this should consider getting out there and seeing what they can find in their own home square.

Best of luck with your 2018 targets, Pete. There are some hefty jumps in there! I'm thinking Tawny Owl may be a strong contender for pole position on the 2018 list for me.

Clock is ticking, I've already told the bosses I won't be available for work on 1st January. Happy New Year and square-bashing to everyone! :) Gibsterhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14699055561230102061noreply@blogger.com
