A fine pair of antennae

Still steadily adding new species, as usual mainly coleoptera, diptera and lepidoptera. Still, the forecast here for the next few days is for cool, windy weather, so might not add too much more this week. The Lauxaniid fly Lauxania cylindricornis was a new one for me and exhibited an excellent set of antennae.

  1. Cracking fly! I thought you might be sneaking up on 900 by now. I've had a max of two species in the trap last three trapping attempts, and actually now I think about it last night's flew in the back door and completely bypassed the trap! Beautiful sunny days, though.
