500 Up - Broadholme, Lincolnshire

500 reached in my Lincolnshire square, moths are now the predominant species but still very poor compared to other years.
Highlights in the last week are :
Hairy Dragonfly first site record at the local pond.
Wood Avens peeking through a paltry bit of hedgerow, most unexpected.
Tetrops praeostus (Longhorn Beetle) - very few Lincolnshire records found along my driveway.

It will be interesting at the end of the year to see the entire list from us all, I,m sure Andy could arrange this.

Regards Martin Gray

  1. Hi Martin - I'd love to sort out the overall combined list from all of us, but I daren't take it on at present as I'm only barely keeping my head above water as it is! Once we get to the end of the year, I'll gladly compile the overall lists and stats - I'm also interested in how many species it will be in total!
