First carabid

No moths last night at all but there was a very smelly black sexton beetle in the trap. Nicrophorus  humator. A lifer. Performs useful ecosystem services but served to completely disgust my wife and son.

  1. Yep, a seriously gross beast. If you want to really upset them, show them one crawling with mites!
