Made it past 50 today, with some plants identified during an evening walk, together with a Coastal Orb-weaver (Nephila plumipes), Pied Currawong, Scaly-breasted Lorikeet and a Sacred Kingfisher in Whites Hill woods. Most of the plants are suburban invasives so far, and today's haul included several species of Cynodon as well as Digitaria didactyla. I have a CD-ROM of suburban weeds for Brisbane, so have been mainly using that so far - there are lots of plants in the woods that I can only gawp at without recognition at the moment.
In stark contrast to the weather in Britain, temperatures are up to 37 during the day and down to 24 or so in the middle of the night!

Hope to post some photos soon.
