The snow level in the garden rose to 7 inches today. Garden birds were active, and there was lots of Snipe activity on the common, birds whizzing around all day looking for unfrozen spots. I went for a walk in the afternoon to try to find something new and thought I was going to fail but, just before I got home, I noticed a welcome Kingfisher sat by the stream. This was a species that I was 90% sure I was going to get at some point, but I wasn't completely sure so very welcome indeed. 131.
