Dalgety Bay - Rainy, rainy rain came down

Finally after a month of sunshine (unbelievably) the rian is coming down and it's very pleasant. Woke up early this morning, not by design, but I made the most of it by doing a good recce of the woods to Braefoot Point, recording easy pickings while scoping future chances of shingly shore, maybe a rock pool or two, proper coastal rocky lichens and a bit of pinewood. All looks very promising. No way this will be all for today but it's a decent start to a rainy day.

Oh! And a #patchgold Whimbrel on the shore. I had in mind Wheatear but Whimbrel will do nicely.

Dalgety Bay East - Braefoot, NT1783

Since I can't go far, why not look at another square within walking/cycling distance - forget Lord of the Rings. Step aside Foundation! (and Empire!) This is My Dark Materials  - the Dalgety Bay Trilogy

There will be no kicking of hornet's nests, though. Just a sewage works. And an oil terminal. And an abandoned WWI gun battery. What's not to like?
