Guernsey

Ticking along nicely. Only managing short sessions out and about but easily finding new things each time. Hay fever is very bad this year, but there again, I have been wading chest-deep in long grass - hence no sympathy from the wife.

677 - Argyresthia cupressella (moth) - this would be a first record for Guernsey, which I caught by the light of the trap one evening. I have no experience of the species, but it does look like one to me!

  2. Thanks for that Mark(s) .... Poecilobothrus nobilitatus looks just like the little fly that's everywhere on bramble and nettle around my plot. And now you come to mention it, Coleophora spinella looks remarkably like a little micro I netted today .... on hawthorn. Will double-check both in the morning ....
