 Wasn't sure if i had time for a look about yesterday, worrying that I'd loose track of time and miss the match. The rain was also chucking it down. Had to get out...Decided to use the rain to my advantage and take a poke about at the old remains of Aberbargoed rail station.

140 Porcellio scaber - Woodlouse
141 Larus canus - Gull
142 Prunella modularis - Dunnock
143 Marchantia polymorpha - Liverwort
144 Barbula unguiculata - Moss

145 Segestria senoculata - (Spider) Plenty of these under the window sills of my house.


146 Clausilia bidentata - (Snail) Found more numbers of these to what i normally find here.

150 Bombus lucorum - (Bumble) Found this one hibernating in a rotten log.

153 Primula vulgaris - (Primrose) Starting to spread again in the small wood that's now taking over the area. People up rooting for their gardens.

160 Argonemertes dendyi - (Nemertine) Another found in higher numbers to what i usually find them. This downpour has certainly helped bring them out.



161 Cladonia portentosa - (Lichen) This was growing on the colliery spoil area below.


162 Haplophthalmus danicus - (Woodlouse) Found under a rotten log that was clumped with soil.


163 Haplophthalmus mengii - (Woodlouse) Found under some moss covered stones. Only one found, luckily it was a male.
