Started in earnest today pottering around the garden and going for a quick walk through the square. 55 species in total so far between last night and this morning. 5 species new to me so far as well including a Parsnip Moth found on the bedroom curtains, 2 plants and 2 slugs. Plants made up quite a lot of species as there are still plenty of things alive here (no proper frost yet this winter).

Turned over some stones in the garden and found my favorite woodlouse
Platyarthrus hoffmannseggi in good numbers in an ants nest (just need to ID the ants now).

'favourite woodlouse'! :) That's what I love about this. I'm already getting the odd funny look while examining worms and slugs.
